For Ogden businesses
Every lead is free. One flat fee covers the rest.
Best in Ogden lists ten locally owned businesses per trade, checked against published rules. Homeowners who contact you from your page reach only you, and you never pay for a lead.
Why every lead is free
Many lead platforms charge you for each lead, and some sell the same request to several businesses at once, so you're racing competitors to call back. We don't sell leads at all.
| Question | Typical lead platforms | Best in Ogden |
|---|---|---|
| Cost of a lead | Often charged per lead | Free, every one |
| Who else gets it | Often several competitors | Nobody. It's sent to you alone |
| How many competitors on the page | As many as will pay | Nine at most |
| Can a competitor buy the top spot | Often, through ads or bids | Never. The order rotates monthly |
| What you pay | Varies with volume | $14.58 a month or $150 a year. Nothing per lead |
What your $14.58 a month covers
The fee is how Best in Ogden pays for itself. Here's where it goes.
Advertising and promotion
We put the money into promoting Best in Ogden to Ogden homeowners, so more of them start their search here instead of on a national lead site.
Hosting and upkeep
A fast, secure site with trade guides we research and keep current: Utah licensing, Ogden permits, rebates. That's what brings homeowners in from search.
Your listing, written for you
We write your profile from what we verified, in a plain voice homeowners trust. You see it before it goes live.
Verified badges
Your Utah license and insurance shown on your listing, with the date we checked them. Proof, not claims.
Every lead, delivered
Messages from your page go straight to your inbox, and calls and website clicks are counted, all at no extra cost.
Your numbers
At renewal, a count of the inquiries, calls and website clicks your listing sent, so you can judge it on results.
A spotlight article Yearly plan
Pay yearly and we interview you and write a member spotlight about your business: how you started, the work you're known for, photos of your jobs. Yours to share, published within 30 days of joining.
Show you're vetted
Every listed business gets the Best in Ogden Vetted badge for the year, ready to put on your website, quotes and email signature. It links to your listing, so a homeowner who clicks it sees the checks you passed.
Only businesses that passed vetting can use it, and it's dated, so it always shows you're current.

Who qualifies
Businesses that pass the Best in Ogden Standard: a real address in the Ogden area, Ogden as your home market, and local ownership. A locally owned franchise can qualify. Most applications that fail, fail on location.
Ten slots per trade
When a trade's ten slots are full, it's full. Founder pricing is for the businesses that join while the site is new.
Questions from businesses
Do you charge per lead?
No, never. Every inquiry, call and website click from your listing is yours at no extra cost. The only charge is the annual fee.
Can I pay monthly?
Yes. Founder pricing is $14.58 a month with a six-month minimum, charged automatically by card, and after the first six months it continues month to month. Or pay $150 for the year up front and save $25.
What is a member spotlight?
A short article about your business, written by us from a 15-minute interview: how you started, the jobs you are known for and how you work, with photos of your work. It is included with the yearly plan, published within 30 days of joining, labeled as a member spotlight, and linked from your listing. It does not change your place on the list.
When do I pay?
Only after you pass vetting. We check your application first, write your listing, show it to you, and then send one invoice. If you don't pass, there's nothing to pay.
Can I pay more to be listed first?
No. Every business in a trade passed the same checks, and the order rotates on the 1st of every month. Position isn't for sale at any price, which is why homeowners trust the list.
What happens after the first year?
Before your year ends we send you your renewal price and your listing's numbers for the year: inquiries, calls and website clicks. You decide whether to renew.
What if my trade is already full?
Then it's full: each trade has ten slots at most. We'll tell you, and let you know when a slot opens.
Can I put the Vetted badge on my website?
Yes. Listed businesses get the Best in Ogden Vetted badge for the year, with code that links to their listing.
